I6 PCV question
This is the PCV valve on my 64 I6 motor. It doesn't seem correct to me and I've never seem one like it before. There is no valve inside. Any thoughts ??

The end of that looks like a speedometer gear housing.

You could go to your local parts store and compare. Best bet considering we don't have a pic posted of correct valve. Good luck.

I'll bet somebody 'rigged' a pcv-valve to reduce its amount of vacuum. Also bet that when you install a correct one, it won't idle due to 'sucking' too much 'free' vacuum--all due to other end of hose going to incorrect vacuum source. I'd verify a correct source and install correct pcv valve.
