GMC Tach?
Okay guys is this a GMC tach or is it for something else. Joseph

This looks like a speedometer with the back cable input but it says RPM's. Strange. Maybe to an old motorcycle. Any markings on it? How wide is the lens?

Ahh, I see. I knew it was mechanical. The light duty trucks were electric I was thinking. I saw it on Craigslist and wondered what it was. Thanks, Joseph

all diesels of this vintage used mechanical due to lack of ignition system to send impulses. some gas pots also used them.
here is another form of tach, which is the hand held by Starrett and this one has been around the family as long as I have been around. just put the black rubber tip on the end of the crankshaft(centre) and read ron |
