Re: Dash Pad Woes
I was going to post the same link as KP Jon. That will be the best choice.

You're not going to beat the quality unless you buy a NOS GM part. I've seen them in person and talked extensively with the guy who makes them. None better.

Re: Dash Pad Woes
I had a thread on this not too long ago. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=738258
I went with the vinyl over metal structure one from Classic and it fits great. No trimming needed, no waves or bends in the dash. The only reason I went with that one over Cheyenne Pickups is because I wanted the metal structure like the original. Cheyenne uses plastic structure. Not sure which one would end up really being better, but I wanted what was the original design. Also no matter which brand you choose, go with the vinyl ones not the urethane.

Re: Dash Pad Woes
Thank you all for your replies, I appreciate it very much. So I did contact Cheyenne about their dashes. They seem like the only legit dash out there for the anal crowd for sure. The only issue I have and I've had this with the other dashes I've tried in the past is the VIN plate hump. Non of the other dashes account for this and evidently the Cheyenne does not either. So is this "hump" a weird anomaly or is it common on all the trucks? I'd like to hear your feedback because when I've put other dash pads in, they do not fit over this hump and the pad has a hump in it...Go...

Re: Dash Pad Woes
After dealing with this, I took my OEM dash to my upholster guy. He filled the cracks and recovered it. Turned out great for me.

Re: Dash Pad Woes
Did the Classic pad account for the vin plate hump?

Re: Dash Pad Woes
Sorry I don't know if they do or not. My truck is a 1978 and they don't have the vin there. IIrc I think that began in 1979. I had a 1984 years ago but do not remember if the vin had a hump or not.
