Put Duallys On My C20?

I've got a ratty old 63 C20 I'm thinking of turning into a flat bed. While looking for some for ideas I was drawn to the duallys. I've been reading up the last couple days and have seen a variety of options to do this from swapping out the whole rear end to longer studs and a little grinding on the hub. I'm not looking for 1 ton functionality just the look. I can probably get some old steel rims for free. There's an 85 parts truck with a dually rear end for sale near by. I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on this. good, bad, or otherwise.

Here's my truck. I'm going for a bit of a rat rod shop truck look so I don't need a 1 ton.

Thank you for looking.

Dually with a flatbed would be sweet...and rather a normal thing. If it was me I'd keep that fleet side and mold some stepside fenders to it to make it look like a factory dually. It's been done but everyone that did them slammed them to the ground...be nice to see one stock stance.

I have a set of dually rims that need a home.

Re: Put Duallys On My C20?

That's funny TJ, my buddy has a 66 C30 and he wants the bed from my truck to do his like you suggested. I think he wants to lay it out though. I think I'll bring it up to him to keep it stock height. I'll show him the one LostMy65 linked to. haha

Thanks for the links LostMy65! They keep going and going. Links within links. That extra long bed is GORGEOUS! Way out of my league. Haha

StepSide1965-Too bad I'm not closer. Did they come off a truck of yours?

I would just find a '71-'87 C30 for a donor and just change everything over including the entire front suspension.
