Power steering pressure hose

Ok here is the deal it has been leaking for quite a while now so i finnaly decided to replace it. I got the new hose and it has to be the most straight forward thing to do. BUT I cant get the freaking old one off!! The bolt on the resovior will not move at all, I even got underneeth and put all my weight into it and i cant move it at all... whats the deal???
and the one on the pump itself i cant find a wrench to fit it? its not 3/4 and its not 11/16 is it metric or somthing wierd? i donno i can work on that one cause its the same size as the new one i got and i can keep looking for the right wrench!

I think it is metric. If you don't have one get a crescent wrench on it and get it off. Try some WD-40 or Liquid Wrench on it to loosen it up.

Saw off the tube so you can put a socket over it, makes it much easier to remove.

I wouldn't do that. Some saw shavings could get in there and cause trouble for the steering box. If you want to cut it use a pipe cutter. Much faster and less mess.

If the pump is full of fluid, I wouldn't so much worry about shavings, as the outflow of fluid will take the shavings with it, but yes, it's a good idea to use a tubing cutter.

One of the nuts is metric. I just replaced my pressure and return hoses a few months ago. I can't quite remember but I think it was an 18 mm. Luckily, mine were not stuck. I did end up twisting off the metal tube coming off the power steering box. Had to make up a new one.

Sometimes if I tap on a wrench with a hammer the impact will be enough to unstick the nut. Good luck.

yea there metric and a real B***H, just like every other fitting that gm doesnt want u to take off and replace yourself

Try to use some Blaster PB, I used it on mine and it help with the removal.
