When It rains - it pours
I just discovered tonight the rims I bought are 12" wide,
well to make a long story short, that's too damn wide I was trying to mount on 225/70 to get a shorter tire to fit my 4" drop. So, I have to buy new rims (4 so they match.) In the mean time, I am gonna try and raise my front end off the tires (265/70R15) with adjustable coil spring spacers till I can buy new rims. Imagine that I get lowered coils, just to raise later. Will this work temporarily ya think ?? Any problems ?? Will it hurt the coils ???? Last edited by Nvbowtie; 10-27-2003 at 07:28 AM. |

Those rims are discontinued.. It would be pretty hard to find some 15x12 rims like that. They all match even, might not ever be able to find those rims again ever. I wouldn't let them go to just anybody.
Just messing with the guys that want these rims. They do look pretty good and they are pretty deep |

maybe you could paint up a set of rally wheels to get you by until you can afford new wheels. that would et it painted, and not mess up the fenders....

those american racing rims go for about $89 brand new in sears here so i know ya can get em cheaper elsewhere. $40 a pop with decent tires is a good deal ; if i wasnt in NJ id consider it but thats one long ride!!

Well I lucked out!!!
I went with a 255/60 and they fit the rim and the fender well, so for now I can still run on my old rims. Last edited by Nvbowtie; 10-27-2003 at 07:34 AM. |
