Question on a burban
ok, did suburbans 67-72
come with just rear A/C? or did it come with Both? or Was rear optional? I seen a Add for a 72 for sell, It mentions Rear Ac, PS, PB, Power Windows and door locks, and rear AC but not front AC Just curious on info

Suburbans came with 2 types of A/C. The nicest sytem had the normal dash A/C vents and another A/C blower unit at the back. The other terrible, worthless, noisy, miserable type A/C had only the rear unit with a tunnel that went all the way to the front seat. It shakes and rattles everywhere you go because 30 year old plastic is usally broken by now.

I believe the tunnel type was used up till '71, and the front and rear was used in '72

sub4rvr is correct the funnel style was used from 67-71, and rear A/C with standard dash A/C in front was used in 1972.
We have a 71 with the tunnel style and ours performs Excellent with no noise and will literally freeze you out. I always prefer the tunnel style for the best A/C performance. GMCPaul |

So a 67-71 A/C burb will not look like an A/C pickup on the firewall?
