Hello from Lenox, Georgia

Hello All

Just wanted to say hello and thank everyone for all the great info about the 67 - 72 trucks on this site. I recently purchased a 72 gmc and of course it needed a few things to make it safe and dependable. Thanks to this site I had the info needed to replace the rear brakes and get the brake light to turn off in the dash, got all my lights working except for when i hit the brake while trying to turn right(but believe it is the switch in the column that is wore out if my research on this sight is correct). Got all the gauges to work except the temp believe that is a circuit board or the gauge itself is junk, alot of troubleshooting posts read for that as well. There are many other things as well but wont bore you all anymore! Just wanted you all to know Thank You ! This trucks main purpose for the time being is to assist me in tearing down and rebuilding the barn it is parked in. After the barn then the process will start again with the truck, of course the barn will get a concrete floor before that happens lol. Once again a big thank you for the info here!

Ron

Re: Hello from Lenox, Georgia

Welcome from Navarre, Florida. Looks like you have factory air in there. That is REALLY nice and also rally wheels. Good looking truck.

Re: Hello from Lenox, Georgia

Yep it came with factory air...... unfortunately most of the original air parts were gone when i got it, so now comes some research and some junk yard diving to get it fired up again. The passenger rear wheel has a different beauty ring, lugs, and tire so on a search for a matching ring as well. The way i look at it this is my project/hobby for a pretty long time.
