shoulder belts
I have searched through this forum and have even done a google search but can not find some shoulder belts that look factory. The only ones that seem to look factory that I have even found pictures of are the original shoulder belts. And they are almost impossible to find, and as I have heard a PITA to use.
What have you guys all found/used? Also, I need a set of white, as my factory ones are white. I thank and appreciate any help in advance

Re: shoulder belts
68-70 mustang/cougar shoulder belts and retainers are a very close match. They are 2 piece and a pita to use as well.

Re: shoulder belts
I have these (they stick out a bit when deployed like this but that's not how you stow them, of course). They have the metal buckles like GM, and I think that's as close as you're going to get.
I have factory shoulder belts in my '69 2+2 and use them because I wanted to keep it original, but they're an annoying pain to use. With retractable at least you can touch the radio... These are from LMC. They have several colors, unsure about white.

Re: shoulder belts
The original ones are old, expensive, and just not that great...did I mention expensive?
I bought a set from Tom on this thread. Brand new, look great, and while I suppose they aren't cheap, they are a heck of a lot cheaper than the OEMs when you can find them. Plus they work great. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=657298

Re: shoulder belts
I have the late model sets in both my trucks and like them.
With my interior you can barely see them.

Re: shoulder belts
I installed these in my Burban. I got them from Buckle Up. I went through them as they were the only one with the Aqua color. Not much different to use than the ones in my S-10. The only issue I had was with the powder coating. It had to be scraped out of the bolt holes so the bolts would go through. I may have listed more in my WMB thread. Since pictures tell more than my little words can. Here's some photos. I reused the best two of the originals for the center set.

Re: shoulder belts
Original style, just not original to my truck. Yes PITA to use but still cool.
Looking for a 67 Blue set for my other truck. Cougar belts would do. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1500868349

Re: shoulder belts
Mine are OEM. I don't drive my truck much, so the PITA aspect doesn't bother me. I do like the cool factor of the OEMs. I found them in a '72 Blazer in the junkyard and paid $10 or $15. The extra boots and stubs in the center of the first picture were in the rear, and the belts were cut off at the base of the boots. I also found some retainers in the junkyard that go on the front of the console to hold the female belt buckles (pic 3). I'm thinking of using the hard to find spare parts to build another set based on the information in these threads by leddzepp and others.

Re: shoulder belts
That's what first came to mind were the ones in my 94 suburban. I bet all the original mounting holes were usable too.

Re: shoulder belts
Mine are from Morris, they fit well and you have several choices of buckle designs.

Re: shoulder belts
Not to get off subject here but where did you get that center console Z10? I have been looking for something like that.

Re: shoulder belts
The holes by the door I used and the drivers side center one. The passenger side center I had to redrill but I added stifner under the truck.
