Cab Weight?!!
I'm working on shipping a cab to a buyer and I'm trying to estimate the shipping cost. To that end, does anyone know the approximate weight of a 1970 cab? The cab is complete, with doors, but it is a bare cab.

I'd be curious to know the details on this when you figure out a way...cost, weight, etc.

Re: Cab Weight?!!
I have a few friends coming over this morning to help me put my cab back on my frame, I would say that the bare cab without doors or glass would be about 350lb. Adding the doors would add another 100 and 150 if you have glass and locks in them. windshield and back glass add another 50. So cab with doors and all glass I would ballpark at 550lb

Re: Cab Weight?!!
I know it took 4 people to lift the cab off my last parts truck. Sorry, I know that's no help whatsoever to what you're trying to find out, just wanted to throw it out there for others benefit.

Re: Cab Weight?!!
i would guess around 400-450 if it's bare cab with empty doors. we always gutted them completely and two of us could lift them off. more would have been better but two is all we had. probably why my back is f%&*ed up beyond repair and i need knee replacement
