Hydroboost question
Does anyone know what parts I should get from an early-80s C30 diesel hydroboost system to bolt it onto my '79 Heavy Half? I'm 200 miles from home, and the junkyard here has 4 of them in stock. Sure would like to have one follow me home!

Re: Hydroboost question
Everything! Won't need the steering box but everything else will make it easier. I would even consider the brake pedal itself to keep it a complete system. I've done it a few times.

Re: Hydroboost question
hydroboost, return line tube, brake pedal, and master cylinder if its cheap enough (new ones are pretty cheap). I would personally just buy new pressure hoses from rockauto.

Re: Hydroboost question
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be back at the yard in the morning to take everything between the driver's seat and the radiator.

Re: Hydroboost question
yeah the pin on the brake pedal is different going from hydroboost to vaccum. ive switched from hydro to a vacuum booster a few times, the first time i found the hydroboost pin on the brake pedal was bigger so i just ground it down a bit
