need more traction!
What are some things I should do to get better traction? right now I have 3.73 non posi gears. I can't remember what tires exactly but they are a little over 10 inches wide in the back. Today I was crusing at about 40 mph and put the pedal to the floor and the tires started smokin heh (without kickdown installed) should I just put some sand bags in the back for a while? some people suggested buying lead and putting it somwhere. I just need some ideas of what I need to do in the future. I have to do the brakes first.

yah I know I need both of those, well not drag strips its gotta be streetable. but what are some things that can be done that soem people would not always think of? besides posi and tires/wheels?

not really much else you can do besides better tires or a posi that isnt gonna slow the truck down

Well, the only solution, for me that is, to get better traction when (if) it snows, is to throw about 400 lbs of dead weight in the back across the axles. But I know the whole idea for racing is to keep the weight down. Big, wide, sticky tyres and a posi rearend.

How much do you want to spend? Make the truck as light as possible. Dump anything you can off the front end/engine compartment. Move the battery and gas tank to the back. And if you really want traction go here and click on the truck arm kits.
