How maney cores
I am trying to figure out how many corers the original radiator for my 62 has. It is around 2-3 inches thick. The finned part of the radiator is the same thickness as the top part that the upper hose connects to.

Re: How maney cores
If original v8 should be 3 or 4. I was told my 62 core was a V flow, not cross flow. Cools better. So if a good core do not replace! I Run a 406 small block in Vegas heat with my stock radiator.

Re: How maney cores
My 65 is on a 62 Gmc Frame. It had a 351 V6 in it. When I went to a V8, I used the GMC V6 Radiator. It's still in there to this day:

Re: How maney cores
Is that factory Shroud? I did not have one but used the 6 tabs to mount this fan

take off the rad cap and you can see or feel the number of rows. I've been researching replacement radiators , it seems the size of the core is important, ie a 4 core with smaller diameter cores may not cool as well as a 3 core with larger cores.
