If you asid diop, it will get rid of all paint, in every nook and cranny...Which means you'll have to paint these areas or they will rot out in short order.
Areas like inbetween the back wall and the outer sheet metal...same thing on the roof of the cab...the back side of the dash...ect.
On the flip side, it is a PITA to get all the blasting media out of the same nooks and crannys when it comes time to shoot paint.

I'd have it blasted myself. It is probably cheaper too.

I think most places that acid dip then etch (it might be a extra cost?). PM MOTHERTRUCKERS as he gets his cabs dipped. I agree with Longhorn Man's statements but I would prefer the dipping.

I'd love to do the dipping/electro-coating. But price is a huge factor.

You might look around for someone that does soda blasting. It's about $400 to do a cab with doors inide and out around here. I opted to strip mine manually with 40 grit and 3-M Rotoloc discs. It's slow and will take me about four days to complete the job ut is a hell of a lot cheaper.

I decided a while ago when my cab comes off it will be dipped. I'm just afraid that with the bondo gone that they may only pull out a dash board....J/K
