tire help

looking for tires for my 80 chevy with a 5/7 drop I have riddler 695 20x8.5 on front with 5 in bs and 20x10 on back started only tire combo with same tread is 255/40 on the front,will these tires work without any issues? thanks

255/40-20 = ~28"H. With a 5" front drop you'll likely buzz the top of the inner fender-wells a lot or come close. I tried that size on my 74 once w/6" of front drop & didn't make it out of the alley (<15mph) because of constant rubbing.

295/40-20's will work fine out back. I would stick w/the 255/40's up front & modify the fender-wells if needed.
