Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
16s are plentiful in wheels like those. .not finding it in 17...any reason a 16 wouldn't work?
closest thing I could find was a dodge 17in... Last edited by mongocanfly; 09-12-2017 at 11:47 PM. |

Cragar makes a soft 8 and d window n 17s and 8 lug.And what are the axles from ?Because there is 2 different 8 lug patterns and if its a 4x4 the hub bore size can very from brands like ford chevy and dodge use different sizes.

1978 Ford hp Dana 60 and 1996 Dana 80. Not interested in soft 8's or d holes. The 60 will be restudded to match the larger 80 studs too.
I like the classic look, aftermarket wheel not so much. Posted via Mobile Device |

If you want steel 17s that look factory those dodge rims are it in your lug pattern,If you want alloy there the h2 rims,Or a set like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVY-4X4-SR...NYyGlL&vxp=mtr If you changed it over to the metric lug pattern your options go a lot bigger for oem rims from the big 3.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
I've talked to wheel vintiques on the phone about 17" wheels.they are not real interested in making them. I'm wondering if we started a thread here about it and got a bunch of people that wanted them, if they might start building them? I would love a set on my crewcab, and my 76 pathfinder van.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
stockton quoted about 1200 for a set of four 17 inch wheels to accept my k30 hub caps.
they take a 16" wheel center then a 17" barrel. make a ring spacer and weld the three pieces together. seems like a pain in the ass to make yourself so the price isnt far out of line for specialty work.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
For what it's worth, Stockton just delivered a set of wheels after 3 weeks. Exactly how long they told me it would take.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
Did you get the 17s? I called a while ago and they wouldn't even give me a quote and said they wouldn't make them. I plan to use the dodge steel 17" wheels if I ever get to working on the truck again.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
I would rather get detroits 18" wheels, than stockton. 1K for a set and you can get clips to run hubcabs on them.

Re: Finding the Wheel - 17" 8 Lug Poverty
Sorry slow reply. Ordered pc'ed vette rally wheels from them a logn time ago - they arrived flashed over with surface rust in a lot of areas (yes, I had the same reaction...) and, somehow, that was my fault(!) The issue was they hadn't fully pc'ed properly and all the freshly blasted areas that didn't receive the pc were rusted - was almost like the wheels just got a cursory shot and there were a lot of missed spots, especially at the wheel/center joint. Several back and forth shippings and they never really corrected the issue - I ended up treating and touching up with paint. It was just shoddy work to begin with and horrible customer service after the fact.
