My new truck
Hey guys back in another post i said how my wifes grandfather was giving me a truck and that it was a c20 86 but somehow that was wrong, it actually ended up being a 86 k10 350/th350 that he redid years ago. Heres some pics

Re: My new truck
Yeah he is getting older and it is getting harder for him to get around. It was pretty cool he showed me the photo album of him rebuilding it and all the other old chevys he rebuilt and owned to.

Re: My new truck
That's really cool. To some people it's just an old truck, but they always mean so much more to somebody. It would take a lot for me to give one of my vehicles, that I've worked so hard on, to someone else. I'd have a lot of stipulations too haha.

Re: My new truck
Yeah i know i feel bad that he is getting rid of his pride and joy, but ill take good care of it. Part of the reason is he had a stroke so he cant do as much as hed like and the doctor doesnt like him being outside since hes had skin cancer before. Plus he still has a k30 and a k10 shortbox . Im very thankful as i've never had someone other than my direct family do something so generous. I saw the truck yesterday and when we got a couple things out of the garage he told me i could have all the tools and stuff in the garage when i got my own garage. So i was so blown away by his generosity , its something ill always remember.

Re: My new truck
There's something to be said for the passing of the torch like that. I have all of my grandpa's tools and boxes. Think about him every time I pick up a wrench; hope to be half as cool and a quarter as clever one day. Anyhow, congrats on the truck!
