OMG! KIA Yellow Green Paint Match

So, I drive my '69 Sled around town a few days a week...because the boys love it and so do I While out, I keep seeing these little green cars every now and then...and think that green sure looks close to my '69 light olive. I finally saw one parked and it was a KIA "Soul". I pulled the Sled up next to it and compared the two and the KIA color is almost a dead match! So took a picture to see what you all think... The sun obviously does things to colors in pictures, but in person this was basically the same color.

Ha - of course I agree!
What I did like about it was it didn't have that base coat / deep clear coat look of a show car. It had more of a single stage look...which is what I'd like to have my future repaint look like...

Their dark yellow is almost identical to ochre...

Re: OMG! KIA Yellow Green Paint Match

Cool to see those two together. I've been seeing that color on the KIA's for a while now and it always seemed like it would be a close match.

No joke! Now I see those little turd-blossoms everywhere!

FWIW - The name KIA gave that particular green that matches my 69 light olive/yellow green is pretty cool...it's called "Alien Green".

Re: OMG! KIA Yellow Green Paint Match

I wish I can photoshop like that! It's actually real. It's a company from Japan that does these conversions. Here's a link from this forum. Thats when I first saw it.

Re: OMG! KIA Yellow Green Paint Match

How unfortunate. Of all the vehicles running around out there, it has to be a Kia that matches the color? Bummer. But you gotta give'm credit; Those are great colors! They just happen to look so much better on our rigs than on those little toasters.

Nice burb you have there!

Don't knock those KIA Souls. I bought one in 2014 and its the best car I ever bought! Perfect from the factory, good on gas, lots of options and not one single problem yet! Of course I like my 72K10 just as good.

Having a heck of a time matching 504 medium olive in single stage.
I last purchased Valspar Spralac 150 and it was custom mixed close but I have no number to get it again. I now have 3 different colors on my truck all close but not perfect.

Looked into the Kia colors and they have green tea, Alien I and Alien II
depending on the year. Has anyone done this and are we talking single stage
or BC/CC?

Thank You
