First Drive...

OK. So, I started this build about a year and a half ago. New frame, suspension, cab floor, fenders, front end, complete bed, engine and trans... You name it.

Took it to the alignment shop Saturday. They spent about 4 hours setting everything up to specifications from the frame vendor. Was able to actually drive it for the first time Saturday, and had to get it out again Sunday... Yes, no glass and only about 4 pieces of wood in the bed, but I was so excited to actually drive it under it's own power. Very exciting for me... No pix of me actually behind the wheel, but with exhaust ending at the mufflers, the whole neighborhood at least heard it go around the block...

Anyway, thanks for sharing my excitement!

Re: First Drive...

Congrats (love your garage).

I have been at mine since 2013 and I just now have gotten the front end back on (no hood yet) and I am working on the front end wiring. I hope to test the lights out this week and go for an engine start next week.

If I can just get it out of the garage and into the driveway each day so I can clean up the garage some I will be very happy. Next spring I hope to drive it to a garage and get the suspension and parking brake fixed up and then I WILL HAVE A TRUCK!

Re: First Drive...

Nothing like that first drive. Even if you're sitting on a crate instead of a seat. It's still the best. Congratulations.
