I'm new to this site, thought I'd say hi. I recently picked up a 1970 C10 that my father had bought new. He sold it to a friend of his in '76. I tracked down that friend and was able to purchase it from him. He took great care of it. It still has original paint excluding the hood and tailgate.

Very, very nice!!! Especially considering it was your Dad's!
What engine, trans, options? Do you plan on doing anything to it? |

Re: New Member
It’s got the original 250 with a three speed manual. My plan right now is to just enjoy it, save money and possibly in the near future swap in a big block, probably a zz502 with a t56. Do you think I should keep the powertrain stock? The suspension will need attention as well. I’m told my dad and his friend were drunk one night, decided to lower it so they heated up the springs (kinda bouncy now). I’m just sooo excited and thankful I’ve been able to get it.

Re: New Member
Seeing how it was your Dad's truck and you likely have no intentions of selling it, I'd do whatever you want to it and enjoy every minute of it. An LS would be cheaper and more easier on fuel stops though.
