Re: Wtb np205
I'd troll CL for a while. I searched Dallas, Austin and Houston and saw a Chevy case and adapter (not sure to what) as well as a few Ford TCs. You can swap the Ford parts into a Chevy case, but it'll probably be cheaper to wait for the right parts to stroll by.
I'd also be trolling the SA picknpull for 70s Chevy/GMC 4x4s. You can check inventory but its not precise. http://www.picknpull.com Then there's scrapyards. They can locate parts at other scrapyards. car-part.com |

Re: Wtb np205
I’m not knowledgeable on 4x4 parts, so if you can give me any info to help determine what I may have, but I’ve got an 87 4x4 suburban that I am parting out. I had just heard someone make the comment in that past that all 80’s squares had the 205... but man, I’d be lyin if I said I knew any better.

Re: Wtb np205
First is the rig original 4X4? next does it have manual locking hubs on the front axle? if yes to both questions then the odds are good it is a 205. A good pic or 2 of the transfer case would be nice. PM me with pics and asking price please.

It's likely a 700r4/np208 or th400/np208 if it is 8 lug.

Re: Wtb np205
Answer to both questions is yes. As I said I’m not very knowledgeable on 4x4, but I’m trying to get it identified. But as OBi said, it may be a 208. PM me you contact info and I’ll try to get some pictures of it this evening.
