NOS trim verification
I bought a pair of door edge guards that were claimed to be unopened NOS. They do not look like NOS to me based on the part number stamp (see below). I found the thread below with part numbers, which don't match the packaging either. Before I ask for a refund I'm looking for any insight you might have.

I think they could very well be nos, GM did not actually make all parts they used.
So the manufacturer of the part could use there own part #s And at this point if they were repops they wouldn't be made in Detroit |

I'd be willing to bet they are legit. Back then, people tended to respect trademarks, I don't see some company in Detroit hi-jacking the Chevrolet and its bow tie trademark (back in the day anyway). But who knows. They're made in the USA (by SOMEone even if not GM) and, if they fit, money well spent!
