I had a nightmare

Last night I had a dream in which my cab started leaking (pouring water like niagra) where my rear view mirror mounts. This was due to the way the stupid JC Whitney Chrome Visor was mounted (PO of course)....and since dreams rarely follow reality....my dash and floorboard rusted completely away in 10 minutes. I woke up startled.

Guess I am a little too close to my truck right now.

i had a dream the other night that i was lowering my tailgate and it crumbled in my hands. Then it started raining, and other peices of my truck began to crumble away due to rust.

Sounds like it's time to take a break from your truck projects for a little bit. Maybe work on something else for a while. I'm working on my house now, so now instead of dreaming about my engine blowing up I can dream about the foundation falling into the basement during a "freak" rain storm...

I had a dream that I sold all of the pieces for my truck and had enough money for a down payment on a House.

Or was that a " I wish I would have thought " ?

When I was near the end of my engine rebuild project last spring I had a nightmare about when I went to start my new engine up for the first time. I dreamt that after about a minute of running it at higher RMS to break in the cam I realized that there was white- grey smoke pouring out the tailpipe. I then realized that that I’d forgotten to put oil in the crankcase. Talk about waking up in a cold sweat!

Well this is kinda scary!

I decided to go ahead and pull the chrome visor off my truck. After I did, I reinstalled the bolts and found that the center most thread insert was rusted... and in looking even closer found three 2inch cracks in the cab sheet metal moving away from the insert hole. Strange coincidence.

Crap!

I had a bad one the other night ( lol I think after I read this first thread) it woke me up in a cold sweat. The inside of my demon carb throat was full of metal shavings, yikes that woke me up fast
