A couple more days. I wouldn't even know how to ship. Wouldn't I have to build a wooden crate of some sort? Would that increase the weight and shipping cost? This gate is nice and I would hate to see it get damaged. These shipping companies anymore don't give a crap what's inside.

A wooden crate would be best way to ship. I have had several NOS parts shipped from east coast to west coast in wooden crates with no problems. 2x4 sides with 1/4 inch plywood sides and some filler to keep the tailgate from bouncing around inside will do it.

Yes, it will add to the coast but the buyer (hopefully me

would pay for materials and shipping costs.

Let us know when you decide. Looks like you have 2 if not 3 people interested. I've been looking for a NOS tailgate for a while, this would be awesome!

That is exactly how I was going to crate this. I was also going to cut out holes for handles from the plywood. That is the plan today.

I had this for sale locally and the guy backed out. I have it crated up and ready for shipping. The half inch plywood and 2x6's added some weight. The price is still $1100 plus shipping. 72Highlander, you were first to respond. If you are still interested, I need your zip code for shipping costs.

I've bought a couple of real nice tailgates this year and both times I've used the truck carrier U Ship. It's been the cheapest both times. They will ask you if you need a lift gate truck or not which for a tailgate you will not. But you will also need a place or business that has a big enough area for a semi truck. If you need there number p.m me. Both times it was about the same mileage in the same type of create for 125.00. Texas to Missouri.

What is the shipping to 97217? What carrier are you thinking to use? The place I work at can not accommodate a semi so we will have to go a different route.

Good Morning, The business name is Unishippers 1 800 557 5214. Somehow I ended up going through the owner Chris Schultz and he is s real nice guy. You will need all the dimensions of the create and weight before you call. For the weight I always use bathroom scales. Tell him you got his number from Jared Freemyer from Fairfax Mo. I used him for 2 different tailgates.

Guys, I highly vouch for this shipper. A1 customer service. Transaction went smooth from beginning to end. I had the crate from a NOS tailgate that I bought and put this one in there. The shipper picked it up from my location and delivered it fast too.
