I went with Jegs mini spool in my 10 bolt with 3.08 gears and never had any problems.

I installed a Powertrax unit in my 12 bolt 68 truck. Seems like a nice unit. Cheaper than a complete limited slip but is suppose to break free when taking a curve. Haven't been able to try it yet but it's an option.

Truetracs are excellent units but be aware that if one wheel is off the ground they will act like an open differential because the torque biasing effect is only useful when both tires have some amount of traction. For this reason I would not recommend them for heavy duty off-roading. However, they work great on the road, snow, and light duty off-roading.
