$3000 for this bagged '81? Is this a legit Craig's List deal?
I saw this Craig's List ad selling this truck for $3000. The ad states that it is running and has a full airbag setup.
I contacted the seller, and she says the truck in an impound lot. Her boyfriend is the actual owner,. The police towed it when they arrested her boyfriend. There is about $1200 due for impound fees. The boyfriend is in jail, but the girlfriend says she has the power to sell the truck because he released all the responsibility for it to the girlfriend and he signed a bill of sale for the truck and left blanks ready to be filled in with the purchaser. She has the Title Certificate. (The $3000 sale price includes the $1200 to get the truck out of impound).

Depends on how the truck is bagged it could be a steal or you could get screwed on the deal.

I would call the police there and verify the story. And contact DMV to make sure that you won't have any problems getting ownership and title. Could be a wonderful deal or a vindictive woman trying to screw over her former boyfriend.

looking at the body lines...the bed is running downhill to the rear...could be a hack job of frame notching or bed mounting...

Well it drives, he was arrested in it, and their not asking $1200 but $3000, this seems more like a desperation sale to me, just might be legit

Ok guys, well I think I might pass on this truck. The girlfriend says she cant send me anymore pictures because she 'ran out of data" on her cell. Sounds strange.
The truck is supposedly in a tow truck impound lot 3 hours away from me. I called that impound lot but no one is answering the phone. I don't want to risk the drive up there. But if anyone is closer in the CA Central valley, you might want to check it out. https://fresno.craigslist.org/cto/d/...346641559.html

If he was arrested the truck has been said to be impounded if in the commission of a crime and/or evidence involved in a crime that truck aint going anywhere.....also if she cant prove she has power of attorney from the so called owner she cant sell it for him either......my truck was purchased from from the impound yard of my county sheriff department they placed an add on gov.com and I bidded on it and won the auction...it was issued to me with clean title from the sheriff department.........buyer always beware......

I think I would steer clear if I were you. Find another truck to look at. This one has all kinds of pitfalls waiting for you.
