What kind of tilt column have I bought on ebay
OK so I bought a "restored" tilt on ebay from a seller in Tennessee. Says it's a truck column
But I'm starting to have my doubts. The shift indicator isn't like my other trucks. The indicator pulls out when it moves up and down and there's no light bulb for the indicator. It did bolt in so the shaft is the correct length but the turn signal switch has the flat connector with an adapter which would not work so I had to rewire the plug.here's a Link to the ad and a few pics and the neutral safety switch is a little diiferent. https://www.ebay.com/itm/67-68-69-70...72.m2749.l2649 |

Re: What kind of tilt column have I bought on ebay
Being the correct length I'd say it is a motor home column. I have a 2 or 3 of them, I think I have tilts for all of my project trucks and that number I think is seven. I think the motorhome ones are close as you can get without getting a "real" tilt

Re: What kind of tilt column have I bought on ebay
I think picture in the link below is the one you bought. If so, it looks like an original truck tilt with an incorrect gear indicator (appears to be from a van), tilt lever and turn signal lever. It also appears to have a replacement turn signal switch with a half moon adapter. I think the seller disclosed most of those discrepancies in the listing.

Screwed by an eBay vendor! Imagine that. You should get your money back and the seller should pay for return shipping. If he balks, then contact eBay. They almost always side with the buyer.
A few years ago I bought a rebuilt 79-83 column from GMtilt.com for around $360 shipped. It was perfect. But I don't think he does 67-72 columns. I would have gone with Ididit had I not heard such good things about GMtilt.

Re: What kind of tilt column have I bought on ebay
I think the truck/van difference is stickout of the shaft from the column. Then again, I don't have a truck column now so I'm FoS. Truck columns begin right at the end of the column if I recall.
