Nv4500 swap, bellhousing support rods?

Getting ready to swap the 350/208 in my 85 k20 with my 4500/205 setup. I noticed the factory has 3 support rods (2 from bellhousing to motor mounts- 1 from back of engine block to
t-case) from the bellhousing to the trans/t-case. The AA housing does not have bosses for these to mount too. What is thier function and will it hurt not having them?

that's not technically the bellhousing..thats the inspection cover...so they can't hold much....but I've never seen anything like those....I don't think it'll hurt to not have them...I tried quick google search but didn't find anything

Re: Nv4500 swap, bellhousing support rods?

Correct- inspection cover. Searching the site I found a few threads on it. Seems they were only on the automatic transmissions and possibly the 4wd (aka K Case). I could be wrong but, it was an attempt to keep the auto cases from cracking ( assuming frame flex plus the weight of the t-case?). In any case, I don't think ditching them in my situation will hurt. That cast iron 4500/205 case won't be easy to crack.
