Smile Door Striker Color

I am restoring a 1972 C10 LWB and I am trying to keep things as original as possible. I am wondering if anyone could tell me what the factory coating/color the door striker plates should be? (It seems that I found a thread once before about this same topic but now I can't find it to save the life of me) Thanks

Here is the thread from when I asked the same question.

I never did have any success with the Eastwood kit on those particular peices.
I've used it on other parts that came out great. Eastwood claimed that the temperature of the solution was not quite rite.
But I didn't understand why some parts at the same time came out nicely.
I actually bought another bottle of eastwood solution an regretted not trying the Caswell kit.

It's disgusting to know that all my parts are still in the same bin practically since I tried this Eastwood kit.
I blasted and tried doing these 3 different times with a progressively worse outcome each time.
But other stuff turns out nice.

I would never buy the "kit" again as the solution was the only worthwhile item in the kit.
The goggles worked ok

One day I'll get back too them

Re: Door Striker Color

Depending on where your truck was assembled some were painted body color, most were black phosphate
