5.3 mated to a 700r4?

hi all, i have a 68 c10 with a worn out 350 and a 700r4 i just put in. I've been thinking about doing a 4.8 or 5.3 swap into my truck. can i bolt up the 4.8 or 5.3 to my 700r4? if so what do i have to do to make this happen? anyone done this before and can send me a link? thanks!

It will bolt up, but with only 5 bolts on the bell housing. If I remember right you will need a special flywheel, several companies make them like TCI.

I like the idea. They also make carb intake manifolds and ignition kits for the LS so that you do not need a computer.

Keep it fuel injected. Just have to tell the ECU it's mated to a manual transmission. I'm running a 200R4 behind my LSX.

No special flywheel required, but you will need a flywheel spacer with the longer bolts. I'm running a 700R4 behind my LS1.

I would sell the 700R4 while someone can drive it and just get a 4L60E that will bolt right up (or may be bought as a package with the engine).

They're very finicky with their TV cable set up, how did you hook that up on the LS?
