Anybody looking for a late 60's GMC fire truck?
Just figured I'd pass this on. The volunteer fire dept. just down the road from a friend's place in South-central Missouri is letting one of their trucks go. Not sure of the year but it's got a V-6 under the hood and a park-less automatic transmission - I want to say it's a 7500 series. They don't want much for it; if I had the money I'd snap it up and convert it to a slick roll-back for hauling cars,
but I'm not gonna have it to spend that way for a while and from a static inspection it seems to be in real good shape. I'm not making any money off the deal - just think the truck is worth a new lease on life. I can PM contact info for anyone interested. Hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Nice looking truck. I believe it is a '70. It has the Square type Directionals and I believe the "Z" in the VIN means a 1970. Also is a 7500 for sure. Nice heavy specs. Probably has a 401 V-6, possibly a 478.

Good to know. I agree, a lot of truck for what I was told they want for it.
