Picked this up recently and it has a different bend than the other 71-72 shifters I have here. I assume it is maybe a 71-72 for a 4 speed truck? Can anyone confirm?

I don't know, but I have a 4spd/205 set-up with a shifter that has a different bend from what I've seen. Not quite like yours, but different. It's not a chrome one and I've wondered if someone bent it that way

looks like someone modified that one, the t-case shifter in my 4 speed/ 205 looks the same as the one in my automatic/205.

If it has been rebent, some one did a nice job and would have had to bend it at an odd angle. But hey, anything is possible.

1970 Bends over toward the driver, it's hard to tell from the pics, but it might be a
70 ?

If I am looking at it right, this would bend away from the driver slightly.
I thought maybe a 70 also, but I think 70 has the smaller knob with no pattern on it.

It's not a '70, they have a severe bend & come through the hump on the driver's side of the trans. gear shift ( I have a '70 but no pic)

Here's the '71 shifter. It is not installed in the stock location because of the overdrive.

I believe this one is a 71-72 np205 shifter. The picture angles with the lower boot twisted sideways at bottom makes it look funny. I think 69-70 had two different styles for the np205, one for 4 speed that was bent toward driver side and one with offset but straight up for auto trans. The 67-69 Rockwell t-cases had completely different placement and design.

70' is also bent more at the base to come up through more centered on the hump. Looks like 71-72 to me and modified bend. 71-72 auto/manual 4x4's should all be same like the rest of yours Eric. 70' auto/70' manual comparison pic. Yes, I know it has the newer 73-87 sm465 shifter.

Lol, We need to find you a correct single bend 4 speed shifter or photo shop this pic. It's a great example picture of the 69-70 NP205 shifters! Hope you didn't mind me borrowing it for my WTB ad.

Lol, I have the correct shifter, but haven't broke down to get the 4spd shifter and Tcase shifter chromed yet.
