72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
I need some help clarifying the correct set up for my 72 Blazer and hope there's a knowledgeable expert nearby. It's simple, I'm wanting to source the correct 3/4" lug wrench and jack and handle. Do one of you have a picture of your correct OEM set up you could provide? Secondly can you confirm the handle's dimensions. A member has a handle that when folded measures about 33" long and 7" high and I would like to confirm if this is correct for a 72. I just went to the truck and if that's correct, it would fit behind the driver's seat and almost all the way across the back of the console. That seems long to me but I don't really know for sure. Please help!
Thank you kindly, Matthew |

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Here's what I have - I know this is correct handle for 72 1/2 pickup (not sure for 3/4) and I suspect it's the same for a k5 of the same model year. 53" unfolded. I'm thinking it's correct based on a photo of the setup in a survivor 72 and eye balling the length relative to landmarks on my green Blazer. The lug wrench for the same application is ~13" in overall length, same as example from the survivor k5 and therefore pickups and k5s used same in 72 at least.
Other members with original equipment please chime in to support or refute these items as correct for a 72 MY k5.

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Correct jack instruction decal location and that for the jack itself along floor and beneath the spare tire holder.

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Purportedly correct additional example pic - the mount screws and hardware up front were painted in place together with the tub.

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Another - rear hardware looks not to be painted but would be nice to co firm this with other examples.

Thank you Pete, great information. Can you tell me the length of the folded handle and approximate height of the wide end please?

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
You bet. Do you currently have a handle that you can measure for comparison?

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Hey Pete -- it looks much shorter than the 33" some of the pickup trucks come with --- maybe yours is 28" long?

Re: 72 Blazer OEM jack handle/lug wrench question
Matthew pics sent. For the record the long arm of the handle is ~ 29.5". The outer to outer distance of the handle relative to the long arm of the handle is ~9.5".
