275/60/15 fronts?

Want to get same size for 4 corners to rotate them...but wondered if this size works with 2" drop spindles and 2" lowering springs.

Re: 275/60/15 fronts?

What year truck? I had them on my 66 with 15X8 with 4" back spacing and when I did my drop with 2 1/2" spindles ans 2" springs they hit the fenders. I went to 235's on the same wheels and they worked.

Re: 275/60/15 fronts?

Some have done it with the right backspacing on the wheels, but overall, they're just a bit too big.

I did the same as PGsigns, only I went with a 7” rim.

Re: 275/60/15 fronts?

With a 2" inch drop they'll work on the front ,but any hard cornering or big bumps you'll wish you ran a 255, 245/60 tire, so in the long run a 275/60 is big for the front.

Re: 275/60/15 fronts?

My truck is a 69 2wd 6 lug with I believe the 15x8 steel wheel.

So with my total 4" drop...will 255/60 even work?...

Re: 275/60/15 fronts?

Anybody have a picture of a 255/60/15 with 4" drop in front? Or a 245/60/15 with 4" drop?

Not with these wheels. The backspacing on the wheels above are 3.75" The stock 5-lug rallies are 4.25" bs, which are usually the ones needing clearance, but not always. I'm not sure why some do and some don't. If you keep it 6 lug and run the 6 lug rallies, they have 4" bs, which also clear.
