GMC 305E V6 Exhaust

Evening guys . need to replace the front exhaust cross over pipe (Y-pipe) on my '67 GMC with a 305E V6. Anyone now where i can source this?
I'll also need manifold gaskets at the head as I have to remove them to deal with rusted y-pipe studs.

I don't know about the crossover pipe(mine is good),but, you can get some gaskets from O'reilley's.
I bought intake gaskets there.

Re: GMC 305E V6 Exhaust

Sounds like that Waldron exhaust didn't fit well. I may look into having two down pipes made for a dual system or making one using the original ypipe as a template.

I had problems finding that Y in the mid 90's. I ended up cutting them down past the flange and pieced together the rest.

Re: GMC 305E V6 Exhaust

Very cool plow truck there!!

That's what Ive done. I cut the yipe pipe at all 3 pipes and removed what appears to be a bunch of elbows welded together seemingly a "vintage muffler shop repair"

Does anyone have a picture of an original y-pipe for a 305 V6?
Maybe a picture from a sales brochure or a survivor truck?

Looking like a may need to visit an exhaust bending shop.

Re: GMC 305E V6 Exhaust

Thank you. Thats a big help actually. I didnt know if the passenger side crossover pipe was supposed to "T" into the drivers side pipe like it did. According to your pic, it does.
I better get on it .
