Pics of your 5/7 drops?
Currently have a 3/5 on my 64, trying to decide if i should go air ride or save the bank and just add 2" drop spindles when i put my disk brakes on and put 2" blocks in the rear. (yes i do have a bolt on C-Notch going on too)
Just wanting to see how low a 5/7 is. |

Good looking trucks. Have any ride issues staying that low without air ride?
Just ordered some 18" Mobsteel Detroit smoothies this morning, going to have to find the right size tire so it dont rub. |

Hitting speed bumps with my low hanging exhaust was the only issue I ever noticed. Now that my dad has the truck I think he's going to get some new pipes ran and tuck them up out of the way as much as he can. Maybe an occasional tire rub turning into a curbed driveway.

Yeah, I got the long tube headers hanging down until it gets passed the cross member then tucks back up. I just ordered some flanged inserts for the cross member so i can plumb the exhaust through the stock cross member and also changing out the long tubes for some shorties, get rid of the hanging exhaust. I scraped them for the first time yesterday cruising around, make you tense up for sure.

Re: Pics of your 5/7 drops?
The crossmember was about 3" off the ground and would bottom out if you hit something really big, it would happen maybe 1-2 times a week so not too often. The tires front tires were 1.5" from bottoming out on the inner fenders so they'd scrub over bumps. I had 215/75-15's up front, 27.7" tall. Shorter tires would give more inner fender clearance but you'd lose crossemember clearance. Pull one of the fender bolts on each side to keep it from shredding the tire when it scrubs.
