Another wheel question?

Looking at buying vision rally wheels. What are the advantages and disadvantages. Of running 15 x 8 all the way around. Or 15 x 8 in the rear. And 15 x 7 in the front. 15 x8 have a 4 1/2 inch backspacing. The 15 x 7 has 4 1/4 inch backspace. I am running disc brakes. On the front. Tires will be. 275/60/15 on the rear. And 235/60/15 on the front. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Another wheel question?

I bought a set of 7" wide rims and my local tire shop gave me a hard time with the tire size I wanted to install. They said it wasn't the recommended width and they refused to install the tires.

If you are planning on going staggered, do you have room in the rear for 15x10's?

Re: Another wheel question?

My 68 had 15x10's before and they fit well. It now has 20x10's. They rubbed a little bit but that was the offset's fault.

Re: Another wheel question?

I'd assume having the same of anything equals many advantages. As another member replied already, tire rotation is a big deal. Also, do you intend to carry two spare tires on different-sized rims?

I'd go same size all-round, pack a spare tire, rotate your tires with ease.

Re: Another wheel question?

It is stock hieght. I can see where the same size would be a good thing. But I was looking at the stance. With out changing springs. I might have to rethink it before I buy tires and wheels. I can see where a spare could be a problem. Thanks fore the replies.
