Almost no chance it will come through my little out-of-the-way town, but I'll watch for it anyway. You never know. Beautiful truck, I hope it's recovered undamaged.... I hate thieves!!

Just saw the truck on Fox news, with national exposure maybe they'll get it back. Let's hope anyway.

Re: Stolen red '68 in the Northwest

Good friend of mine had his house burglarized they left the guns, knowing the fed would get involved yet took the vehicles.

The local cops pretty much knew who did it yet could not prove it. They went into a local body shop posing as a customer and spotted my friends rigs in a container. ONLY ABLE TO IDENTIFY IT BY A GOOFY STICKER THAT STUCK OUT AT A DISTANCE.

He go most of his stuff back, yet the guy behind the scenes was not busted, police could not tie him to the crime. Almost made it out of state on the highways!

Look for the little details my good men.

Re: Stolen red '68 in the Northwest

that why we need to find a way to put a tracking device on or in the truck that can't be picked up by a scanner.Only activate it only when its stolen.Today's times with the Illegal Mexican's that have ties to Mexico get a wish list from buyers. They find out where you live that can do 2 things one steel it out right or have one of there homie girlfriends that work at the DMV.They file for a loss title. They have there friends that work for the DMV to issue them a new one in there name then they steel your truck.put there new lic plates on it and drive it around like they own it.If your truck is ever broken into or some one take a picture of your Vin tag.Keep a check with triple AAA to check to see if any one has adqured about a lost title. Then file a police report. Then if the car or truck is stolen and they find it and it has a recent new title.then there butts are grass. So is the DMV operator that pushed the paper work throw. They are some sneaky little mother's.They try to wiggle there crooked way into are lifes

Re: Stolen red '68 in the Northwest

I have LoJack on some of my vehicles. I tested it out by not taking the fob with me, and sure enough, got a call a few minutes after I drove away notifying me that the vehicle had been moved without the security fob present.

I also put it in a place that required about 30 minutes of disassembly to get to, so they won't just be pulling it out from under the dash or anything... with new vehicles I don't think you're even allowed to watch the install but with classics they get you right involved if you want. They prefer your help on the old ones, or at least the guy doing mine did!
