Cheyenne C10 find
Brought this 72 Cheyenne home a few weeks ago. Wasn't running even with two ignition switches! Some wiring, carb work and she runs now.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
Thanks! Pulled the bed liner and found the wood bed floor, wheel houses and front wall were well preserved.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
White seat was supposed to be used in another truck. The Parchment door panels were bought from a forum member. Thanks Pete!

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
Cosmetically it's pretty original. Mechanically it's had a rough life. Engine has been replaced and the previous owner was more concerned with how his radio sounded than keeping it up mechanically. She's getting better a little at a time.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
I’d like to find one like that.
Glad to see you’re saving this one.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
I haven't done much to it...
Had to rewire the engine and under the dash. Install a new ignition switch, key and tumbler. Replaced and rebuilt the carburetor. Did a tune up, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Replaced the broken windshield, rear window with a correct slider, the miss matched tires and wheels with 15X8 Rallys and four matching tires. Replaced the broken thermostat housing and gasket. Fixed the left rear tail light trim. Replaced the broken right door handle. Replaced the wrong year black vinyl bench seat with a correct year white cloth seat. Replaced the green door panels and arm rests with the much nicer Parchment ones. Replaced the broken turn signal switch assembly and installed the missing turn signal lever. Replaced the horrible condition steering wheel with a much nicer one and installed the missing horn button. Gave it a CLR bath and a fresh coat of wax. That's all.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
That's a very nice truck! You don't find them around here in that nice of shape very often.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
I like the parchment color with the green. Nice find. My current project is a close cousin to yours!

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
It's available for sale if someone wants to take it home? I'll post it in the "Trucks For Sale" area.
I'm glad I was able to put some time and effort in to it recently. It's also got a new steering gear box to replace the old leaking one.

Re: Cheyenne C10 find
That’s a good looking truck. That olive wheel you used is really really good compared to most. They are getting really hard to find in good shape.
