kinda stumped... ideas??

I got my frame powder coated and left a rivet and bracket for the lower control arms on the frame......... now when i went to install the lower control arms, i noticed that somebody put the locating rivet in from the bottom instead of the top....... so the oval head wont fit into the lower control arm locating holes..... how do i go about extracting the rivet without damaging the powder coating so i can reinstall it from the top?

That is why I prefer paint to powder coat. Powder coat can not be touched up like paint can. The simple answer is you can not remove the rivet without damaging the powder coat.

How did the rivet location change from the time you disassembled it and had it powdercoated?
I guess a picture would help,...

There are paints close enough to PC colors that it can be touched up. Grind the area, DA it after, & feather out just like paint/primer. Top coat it just like you would if it was paint.

I did several areas on my chassis & you'd be hard pressed to tell where repairs were done.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I left that lower control arm bracket on when i sent it off not knowing the rivet was in upside down. It was like that.
