Washer fluid bag and pump
I found a real surprise cleaning out the new truck.
Washer fluid bag with the pump attached. It is in great shape. I soaked it in Veg.oil for now. Does anyone know where they were mounted in 67? A pic would be sweet.

Re: Washer fluid bag and pump
67 Chevy didn't have a washer bag and pump, some one has added that in the past. Post a pic of what you have and we can help you sort this out.

Re: Washer fluid bag and pump
I can't speak for all 67's but my Burban came with a hard plastic tank and the pump is part of the wiper motor. I know that AMC and Ford (maybe Dodge too) used the flexible bag with a pump in it. And I am pretty sure that you could get aftermarket ones. Post a picture if you could.

Re: Washer fluid bag and pump
What would vegetable oil do for a petroleum based bag (plastic) ? Maybe an earlier truck but not 67-72 .

Re: Washer fluid bag and pump
it will remain in a vegitative state......
I think the 59 and older trucks had a bag as a possible option. if its one of those it could be very valuable. by the early 60's they had those triangular shaped glass opticleen" solvent bottles. |

Re: Washer fluid bag and pump
The 67 C10 came with a metal frame, mounted on the drivers side of the radiator. It allowed the hard plastic tank to slide into it with the pump attached inside on the wiper motor, activated by a solenoid via ground at the switch. B+ is supplied to the 2 speed wiper motor & washer solenoid. Due to the 6 foot length of hose, I would suggest stealing a plastic check valve from newer GM's in the bone yards. That will keep blue juice in the hose when needed. The vinyl bag was originally produced with vacuum operated wipers going way back. Just don't drive up hill when raining.
