One Girl's Garage

Hi, I am a new member but have been lurking around this great site for awhile now. As the title says, I am the daughter of a garage owner and have been helping my Dad since I was 7 years old. He retired last year so now I am trying to carry on the family tradition.

I have had the LS2 engine for about a year now just sitting in the corner. It was removed from a 2010 GTO. I had been looking for just the right car (or truck) for the engine. I found this 1970 C10 SWB out in Oklahoma just before Christmas and it is on its way to Tennessee as we speak.

Plans are to do a static drop, Porterbuilt and some retro American Torque Thrusts and of course the LS2.

Wish me luck.

Welcome to the site.

FYI, LS powered GTOs were only available 2004-2006. That engine is from either a 2005 or 2006 GTO.

The man I bought the engine from told me it was from a 2010. I took him at his word. I believe it is an LS2 though.

Yes they did. My Dad modified the letters on the covers for me. Not sure how he did it, but I like 'em.

Welcome to the board. I'm just in Cleveland TN, let me know if you need help or parts sourcing, etc. I'll be glad to. Are you going to start a build thread on it?

Re: One Girl's Garage

That's is a really nice one. I'm guessing you knew that motor was going in a C/10 before you found that one.
