I have a 63 c10 that I'm beginning to restore. I've done a lot of searching but can't find the answer to my question. I have a 92 Chevy 1500 2wd that I can use for a donor. Can I use the front suspension off of it for my 63? Everyone points to the 73-87 trucks but I my neck of the woods, they're going for crazy prices. Thanks for everyone's time.

Is your truck missing the suspension? If not, and if your goals for the truck don't include hardcore autocross events, I would probably just do a spindle upgrade (Classic Performance Parts or Early Classics) for disc brakes and call it a day. Use the money saved to spend elsewhere on your restoration. Post some pics of your truck when you can.

No, the factory suspension is there. I was mainly looking at doing it for disc brakes and 5 lug. I was curious if it would work because I already have the complete 92 chassis instead of buying a 73-87 donor truck.

A '92 front suspension is completely different. Plus the front crossmember is welded to the frame rails. It sounds as though you may be left with purchasing all aftermarket conversion parts for your '63.
