Question What's my car worth ?

Saw a 72 Cheyenne Super sell for 40k+

I was curious about the chrome drip rail.
was it a super thing,Cheyenne or after market/dealer thing ?

Also: I have a 67 and wonder what the most chrome laden trim package was that year..

Re: What's my car worth ?

Drip rail molding not a Cheyenne Super thing. It was in the assembly manual but x'ed out or something - so my gut feeling is they were a dealer installed option. Have seen them installed with rosette rivets by some dealers, oddly enough... Have never seen an RPO for them, but would love to know if there was one. Btw, LMC sells them.

Re: What's my car worth ?

My ‘67 custom has everything but leading edge and fender eyebrow trim.

Lower molding, front and rear glass trim, chrome hubcaps, upper gate, and taillight trim.

Re: What's my car worth ?

Me and a few friends of mine got to talking about 1967-68.There is a problem with every one say they have a 1967 chevy trucks.Back in the 1950's they started saying the new modals come out in June or July.

That makes the 1967 a 6 month only truck. After June or July there 1968 modals .Now we all know that none of the 1967 came with Fender edge molding that was a 1968 option. If you look on your Pink slip or Car registration.

It will say first month sold.

If your don't be leave that concepted. Then why do they call the 1964 Mustang a Half Year made car then the 1968's came out. That's why are trucks and car's even tho the body of a 1968 camaro looks like a 1968 but anything after June or July its a 1969
