More of just what what I wanted to hear

Previous thread:

Well the decision has been made,

it's new block time.

no sense in trying a fix job or going to
something I don't want.

I scored a free block and the machine shop
said about 500.00 for a block swap.

So I stabbed it in the heart and it bleed coolant
gas, and tranny fluid on the garage floor, what a
heart breaker, it only had 45 minutes run time on it.

It sure sucks when stuff like this happens. But, you are like me, if you had repaired the other block, you would have never been satisfied with it. I would have had it on my mind every time I drove it. I'm a firm believer in doing something right. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go for it. It hurts, but in the end, it will be worth it if it puts your mind to rest. We have enough crap to worry about on these old trucks without worrying about something we can fix.

Good luck with it. It will get better, even if it does cost you 500 bucks.

Think of the first install as a trial run. maybe that will make it easier? If not, at least that will be one thing you will not have to worry about.
