New to me C10
Hey guys, just found a white C10 after months of searching for what I wanted. I had it shipped from NC to Iowa, it had been in one family it's whole life. Pretty excited to get started on it, took of the pinstripe last night, 4/6 drop kit is here. Then I plan on doing a few other things, new BFG's, new bumpers, plain back window, then just enjoy it! Enough blabbing, here is a quick photo....

Re: New to me C10
Good lookin truck.
A common issue with these trucks is rusty floors especially along the kick panel. I would suggest pulling up the carpet and inspecting the floors for corrosion. Enjoy the truck, it's a beaut.

Nice looking truck. I have always been quite drawn to the White, although I have a Red Truck. There's just something about the white that draws me in. Maybe it's this photo:

Re: New to me C10
When you get a chance, post more pics, and some of the interior. What other plans do you have for it?

Re: New to me C10
What host site do you guys use for pics? I had to have white on this truck, I have a black rcsb 2017 with a 5/7 drop that I will be driving daily now so this one had to be white. I have the parts for a 4/6 drop, may go a little lower in the front cuz I like some rake. I don't want to c notch it because I am hoping the value of the truck will go up someday. I am replacing the front and rear bumper, putting a new plain back window in. Also, gonna get some BFG radials 275/60 rear and 255/60 front on stock rally wheels.
I just love how these truck look slammed with the rally wheels. Then someday down the road I would like to have it repainted white and change the interior from red to black. |

Re: New to me C10
I don’t use a hosting site for pics. I just click on the paper clip, right above, where the is. Then you can just attach pics that are in your photos on your phone or in your computer

Re: New to me C10
That truck looks great!!! I don't blame you for wanting to change the interior color. My truck is Red, and HAD that same maroon interior. I changed mine to Charcoal. You can check out my build thread, there's a link at the bottom, My 86 Build

Wanta
Your C 10 looks like a very nice truck, I concur with your taste in trucks. Can you share some particulars on the lowering of the 2017. What products did you use and how did you get to 5 and 7in. Most products I have seen give 4 and 6 so just wondering what you used. The 2017 sits awesome in my humble opinion. Thanks for any info you may provide. Bruce |

Re: New to me C10

The front was a little harder, originally I did belltech spindle (2"), belltech drop shocks (2") and control arm bushings to get to 4". 4" was not enough as I like some rake to the front. So I purchased some belltech 2" drop springs and then put in two rings back on the shocks to gain one more inch drop getting it to 5" total. Then for alignment reasons I purchased just upper control arms from Inez hot rods. If i had to do it all over again I would just go with the full Inez kit. Thanks for the compliments. |

Re: New to me C10
Brent, I know you're going to BFGs at some point, but just curious what size tires on the truck now? Any issues with the height? Thanks Mike
