goodwrench engine question...

does anyone know if any of GM's goodwrench small block replacement engines have forged pistons and cranks in em? maybe a replacement for an earlier med/heavy duty truck?

I dont believe they have forged cranks, and I know they have hyperteutic (spelling?) pistons in them. You're talking about the 260hp replacement 350 right?

im talking about any of the 5 or 6 early (before lt1) goodwrench service replacements that are available...the typical 260hp 350 is what most people think of b/c its one of the cheapest and most popular.

I haven't seen any GM replacement engine that are forged. Only some of the dealerships haev came out with some that built up like your talking about. Even my ZZ4 doesn't have the forged in it.

The run of the mill Goodwrench 350 with 260hp has a nodular cast crank and cast allumium pistons....i wish i had the link, a magazine got over 400 HP out of the Goodwrench 350 shortblock without any durability issues...
