New cam install questions?

I am getting ready to install a new Cam, Intake, Carb, HEI, timing chain, torque convertor, oil pan and a lot of chrome to my engine. I have the rockers that came with the Cam and will be replacing them also.

My question is, I am puffing a little blue when I first fire up my engine and am wondering if I should just replace the valve seals and springs while I am at it?

I do not have the time nor money right now to go through the whole engine, but want to do as much as possible while I am doing the Cam swap.

Would this be a good thing to do, and will it effect the lower end if I do all this?

Valve seals would be a good idea.....most old Chevies smoke a little puff at startup and it is because of that. I hated driving my truck when it smoked....it looked like such a POS....
