NP208 Service

OMG!!!!

I drained it.

I can't find my squirt top and tube

I'm still waiting 1.5 hrs later for gravity to flow in qts 4 and 5 through the 5mm hose I did find!

If you find my squirt nozzle and tube-mail it to me......it shouldn't take 3 hrs to fill up an NP208!

Re: NP208 Service

yeah......

Did the 208 last (after replacing oil filter adapter gasket and o ring and snugging up DS exhaust doughnut bolts.....one leak fixed, the other, gonna require a new doughnut)

Pulled the 208 fill plug first and before finding my squirt nozzle for the bottles.

pulled the skid plate to keep if from getting messy.

pulled the drain plug.

WOOSH!!!

Brown AFT in the face and missing the pan.....

Moved the pan under the flow, didn't have the plug or the vent open, it over flowed anyway and more on the floor

No shop towel so mopped it up with my jacket.

Proceeded not to find my squirt nozzle.....shepherd pup mighta ate it, the bucket of oil change tools was overturned and scattered in the corner of the garage.

Went through a variety of hoses and vacuum connections to make up enough to put a gallon jug on top of a crate and 3 ammo cans by the PS door.

Got it flowing at 7 pm.

Cleaned up the floor, transfer case and tools and took a shower at 1130 PM.

5.5 qts of bright red fresh Dexron successfully installed thanks to Old Mother Gravity.

Now.....coffee and a banana and off to the garage to try to free up a sticky LF brake caliper........I hope!
