Front Lug bolt and U-joints

My 81 4x4 has a stripped lug bolt. Whilst I was in there I wanted to replace the front u-joints and get rid of the auto hubs and put in some Warns. Anybody been through there front end? Big Job?

from what it looks like in the chiltons book its not that hard it doesnt seem to be. i thought replaceing the wheel bearings was gona be difficult but easiest thing ive done so far, next to installing/removing a carb spacer

Ive replaced everything in the front end but the u-joints and carrier bearings. If you have the right tools it is a peice of cake. I would suggest getting a ball joint removal/install tool, They are suppose to work for the u-joints also. I would recoment replacing the balljoints if they havent ever been replaced to while you already have it tore down that far. My .02 Good luck.
